Ο Πάπας Φραγκίσκος, κατά κόσμον Χόρχε Μάριο Μπεργκόλιο, είναι Αργεντίνος ιερέας και ο 266ος Πάπας της Ρωμαιοκαθολικής Εκκλησίας. Εξελέγη στις 13 Μαρτίου 2013. Το όνομα που επέλεξε ήταν προς τιμήν του Αγίου Φραγκίσκου της Ασίζης. Είναι ο πρώτος Πάπας από την Λατινική Αμερική, αλλά και από την Αμερική γενικότερα, καθώς επίσης και ο πρώτος Ιησουίτης Πάπας.
